Laxe Village
Situated right in the center of A costa da morte (The Coast of Death) and in the eastern part of its extensive shoreline, the seaside town of Laxe possesses one of the most beautiful beaches of this coast. The church of St. Mary of Atalaya, a building which originally served as a fortress for the inhabitants of Laxe, is a prominent point in the town. Also noteworthy is the view from the chapel of St. Rosa at the peak of Mt. Cornaceiras.

In the open air of the surrounding countryside you can find plenty of places to walk as well as paths for bicycles, quad bikes, or you can enjoy swimming and surfing on one of Laxe’s numerous beaches. And, of course, you can also sample the exquisite fresh seafood just hauled in from the ocean. Laxe’s location is nothing less than ideal since you will find yourself only an hour away from A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, and just minutes away from Fisterra or Muxía.
